Special Ops Watches

Everything about the army is linked with uniformity and perfect timing. Due to this, new gadgets are created regularly for the sake of keeping up with the reputation the army had gained over the years. Commander Richard "Dick" Marcinko, also known as the Rogue Warrior, was concerned about his Navy Seals team's hardships when having to read their wristwatches during the dark or after moving from cold to warmer regions, thus, with the help of a well known military watchmaker and designer designed a special line of special ops watches that are known as Rogue Warrior Watches.

The specifications of these watches are the same as those refused by the watchmakers who declined the commander's proposals to create his visionary special ops watches. Marcinko wanted his watches to have dials that are easily read in bright or no lighting. Plus, he wanted a mechanism that would protect the movement from shock and prevent condensation from forming inside the watch. All these features are now available in the watches due to the 2 main components in them: d3o and krytopn gas.

D3o is soft orange foam that is lightweight and flexible in nature. However, when force is applied to it, it can turn rigid. This was first developed by the British Army, which used it while manufacturing protective clothing against attacks. The movement of the each of these special ops watches from Rogue Warrior Watches has the same material around it in order to save the movement from shocks and vibrations that can occur during battle.

As for the krypton gas, Rogue Warrior Watches' special ops watches use the gas to achieve more than 1 specification. Combined with Super Luminova, Kryptolite is formed. From the latter, a glow in the dark dial is made. At times, however, the glow can be so bright, which is a disadvantage for those on tactical missions at night. For this, a specially designed fabric band is offered to cover the dial. In addition, the gas is used to drive condensation outside the watch, thus ensures that no water droplets form beneath the crystal layer.

Rogue Warrior Watches' special ops watches can be found in 3 different styles: the Avenger style, the Red Cell style and the Interceptor style. All three's cases are made of surgical stainless steel and use Japanese movement mechanism because the commander believes that Japan provides the best technology. In addition, the Avenger watches have a 24 hour time zone and Diamond like Carbon (DLC) black painting, whereas the Red Cell style has a second time zone and a 3 year battery which can be changed for the first time for free. As for the Interceptor watches, these have Super Luminova hands and a white dial for easy visibility.

One of the best aspects purchasers of this brand of special ops watches will appreciate is that it is for the general public as well. Even if one had not joined the Army, this watch with all its features can be available for them, thus enabling them to have watches that would last longer and still look good with age.
